How to Make Disney Dining Reservations + More Dining FAQ
How Do I Make Advance Disney Dining Reservations?
Disney dining reservations can be made online, on your My Disney Experience App, or over the phone.
Once you’ve planned out when and where you’ll be eating, head over to the Disney website, or your MDE app and log into your account or if you prefer to make your reservations with a cast member over the phone, call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 and have your list ready!
Can I Still Make Advance Dining Reservations if I’m Not Staying at An Onsite Disney Resort?
You sure can! Anyone can make reservations starting 180 days in advance of the reservation date. BUT…since you’re not staying at a Disney resort, you can only make your reservations one day at a time (starting at the 180 day mark).
What is the 180 days Plus 10 Rule for Disney Dining Reservations?
This is one of the perks of staying onsite. If you are staying onsite at a Walt Disney World resort and your room has already been booked, you’ll be able to make your dining reservations 180 days in advance of the first day of your vacation PLUS the first 10 days of your vacation.
So unless you are staying for longer than 10 days (lucky you if you are!), you can book all of your dining reservations at the same time.
What Disney World Restaurants Take Reservations?
All Disney World table service restaurants take reservations, but you can’t make reservations at lounges or quick service restaurants. Click here for the full list of restaurants that take reservations.
What Time Can You Make Disney Dining Reservations Online?
Starting at your 180-day mark, reservations open up online at 6am. If you prefer to do it over the phone, the phone lines open up at 7am.
To avoid disappointment, be sure to get online or call asap because there are some restaurants that book up within minutes, pay close attention to those hard-to-get Disney Dining reservations.
If I Have an Allergy or Follow a Special Diet, Do I Note This On My Reservation?
Yes! If you book online, there will be a spot for you to enter any info you need the restaurant to know about in advance of your visit. If you book over the phone, let the cast member know so they can note it for you.
If you need to speak with someone in advance about your allergy or special diet, you can email the special diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com and they will be able to assist with any questions you have.
Learn more about Disney’s Special Dietary Request here, and if you you want to try a really great allergy-friendly bakery, be sure to check out Erin McKenna’s Bakery in Disney Springs.
What if I Can’t Get A Reservation I Really Wanted?
There are restaurants that are very popular at Disney World and as a result, they book up quickly. If you tried your best and could not grab a reservation for that coveted spot, not to worry, there are a few things you still can do.
- Keep checking. Be sure you have the My Disney Experience app on your phone and any time you have a free moment, check to see if something has opened up. Plans change all the time, so others cancel their reservations which opens things up.
- Sign up for the Disney Dining Reservation Finder. It’s a free service and after you have entered all the details about the reservation you’re looking for, you will be alerted when a spot opens up.
- Have some backup restaurants on your list in case you don’t get your top picks.

What is the Disney Dining Reservation Window? What if We Arrive Late?
It’s always best to arrive a few minutes before your reservation time, but things happen, and sometimes you can’t make it on time.
Disney restaurants will typically hold your reservation for 15-20 minutes after the time you’re booked in for but if you arrive any later, you will not be guaranteed a spot. [source]
When you booked your reservation, you would have received an email with all the details plus the cancellation policy. Be sure to refer to it for info on charges that will apply to each person in your party if the reservation is not cancelled or used.
