Whether you’re planning your first Walt Disney World vacation or your 15th, you need to know Best Disney World Planning Websites.
Why is this important? So you can know all the latest news, be aware of all the must-try snacks, and be in on all the tips and tricks to make your vacation as perfect as it can be!
For me, planning our trips is a fun process. Choosing our dining reservations, making our FastPass+ picks, and deciding what parks we’ll be doing on which days. The journey getting there can be as fun as the destination!
And even though it can sometimes feel like this, it’s still fun!
But a lot of what goes behind those choices comes from researching and keeping up to date on the latest Disney news.
I know that may sound a little intimidating because Walt Disney World is huge there are SO MANY things going on at any given time. This is why having a set of regularly updated and reliable websites to refer to, when needed, is a good idea.
We’ve put together this list of the best Disney World planning websites (in our opinion!) to use when planning your trips. These are websites we use ourselves, so we want to let you know about them, too!
And of course, it goes without saying that one of the websites you should add to your list is OURS!
Add todisneywithlove.com to your bookmarks and check back often for reliable, up-to-date tips and info for planning your next trip.
Best Disney World Planning Websites
There’s no better place to keep up with all the latest than the official website.
Here, you’ll find all the latest news through the Disney Parks Blog, you can view all the menus from each onsite restaurant and food cart, learn about all the resort hotels, and see pictures of them. The best part? You can book your vacation through the website when you’re ready.
You’ll also find the Disney Parks Moms Panel on the Disney website. This is a great spot to find answers to questions you may have and you can also ask your own questions!
Tip: Download the My Disney Experience App and get familiar with it because it will be very helpful before and during your vacation. Through the app, you can make or change your dining reservation and FastPass+ picks, monitor ride wait times, check out show times, and SO MUCH more. Read about all the reasons why you should download this app, asap!
The Disney Food Blog is one of my favourite Disney websites because it covers all of the delicious Disney food.
Any news that has to do with Disney food, you will find it on The Disney Food Blog, which makes it one of the best Disney World planning websites when it comes to keeping up-to-date on Disney food.
Before you plan your dining reservations, head over to this site and search the restaurant you’re interested in or the snack or food you want to try and you’ll find tons of info on the topic. (Also read our tips on making your Disney Dining reservations!)
Start with the Disney World Restaurants Guide list and go from there. It contains links to every restaurant in Disney World and all articles on the DFB website about that particular place.
Another helpful Disney Dining website to learn about Disney food is AllEars.net. Here you can find up-to-date menus for all restaurants, as well as tons of other helpful info to plan your vacation.
If you want to connect with others who are also in the same planning boat as you, then the DIS discussion forums are for you. The forums are part of the larger website wdwinfo.com, another good place to find trip planning info.
In the forums, you can ask questions, answer questions and browse the board for first hand accounts of everything Disney related.
Is this ride suitable for my 5-year-old?
Where can I find allergy friendly snacks in Animal Kingdom?
What are the best shoes for walking the parks?
What’s the best stroller rental company?
How can I get groceries delivered to my resort?
Everything has been asked and is being asked, so chances are, you’ll find answers to all of your questions from those who have been there and done that.
Tip – If you’re Canadian, you’ll find a lot of relevant info in the Canadian Trip Planning & Community Board.
In our post about the best uses for FastPass+ in Magic Kingdom, I mentioned viewing videos on Youtube to make a decision about rides you’re unsure of.
Stop by the Undercover Tourist YouTube page and search for the ride you’re interested in. They have first person perspective ride videos to help you decide if the ride or attraction is suitable for you and your kids.
Their YouTube page also includes videos that will give you tours of the resort hotels and you can also watch the parades.
This website contains tons of helpful info like the benefits of staying onsite at Walt Disney World, and the Pros and Cons of Every Walt Disney World Resort.
They even do a podcast you can listen to so you can pick up even more tips!
Tip: There are some websites that focus solely on a particular resort. Do a Google search for the resort you’re looking for and you may find an “unnoficial” fan site dedicated to it.
What I like about the Touring Plans website is they keep up-to-date crowd calendars.
Walt Disney World is always going to be crowded, no matter when you visit, but there are times when the crowds are a little less intense than other times and the calendars will help you with timing your trip.
I also like their blog where they share all the latest WDW news and tons of reviews.
Tip: Speaking of timing your trip right, check out mousesavers.com. Over there, you’ll find even more info for planning your vacation but you’ll also find info on current and historical discounts offered by Disney.
