If you’re headed to Walt Disney World and you’re looking for a Disney Springs bakery that’s allergy-friendly, vegan, and/or gluten-free, then you’re in luck!
I’d like to introduce you to Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC, my favourite place to grab a sweet treat, every time I visit Disney Springs.
An Allergy Friendly Disney Springs Bakery for Everyone
For those of you who don’t have to deal with food allergies or follow a special diet, you may think that these treats are going to taste strange or have a weird texture, or may not be something you’ll like. Not true. Give their snacks a try, I’m pretty sure you will like whatever you get.
Now, for those of us who DO have to deal with food allergies, or follow a special diet, this place is a dream. It’s amazing to walk into a shop and know that you can order anything you want and not have to worry about the ingredients.
Have a browse through their Instagram feed to see all the treats that await. Try not to drool 🙂
What are Erin McKenna’s Bakery Treats Free From?
Everything in this gem of a Disney Springs Bakery is refined sugar-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and egg-free.
Is Erin McKenna’s Bakery Nut-Free?
When it comes to nuts, they cannot call their sweets nut-free, because of the following reason stated on their website:
“We do not bake with most tree nuts, peanuts, or soy. We do use coconut in most of our products. The FDA currently classifies coconuts as a tree nut.” [source]
So if you have a nut allergy, proceed with caution and ask all the necessary questions.
What Can I Find At Erin McKenna’s Bakery?
So much, you’ll want to try everything but probably can’t because you’d be eating way too much 🙂
They bake doughnuts, loaves, cakes, muffins, and cupcakes:
If that isn’t enough, this delicious Disney Springs Bakery also offer brownies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and cookie sandwiches:
Erin Mckenna’s Bakery, Disney Springs also serves up seasonal, special items that are only available for a limited time.
They sell soft-serve ice cream! Dairy-free with gluten-free cones, of course!
If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, everything in this sweet shop can be bought with your snack credits. So save them up for your Disney Springs day 🙂
If you can’t make it to Disney Springs to try everything out, you can make Erin McKenna recipes at home! She has published two cookbooks and you can find them on Amazon:
- BabyCakes: Vegan, (Mostly) Gluten-Free, and (Mostly) Sugar-Free Recipes from New York’s Most Talked-About Bakery
- BabyCakes Covers the Classics: Gluten-Free Vegan Recipes from Donuts to Snickerdoodles
Note: ErinMcKenna’s Bakery NYC was once called BabyCakes which is why the books are titled that way.
